Bishop Soto explains that supporting charitable works is, in itself, an act of mercy. "Not everyone can be on the frontlines of charity. Through the Annual Catholic Appeal, we can all keep 'Mercy in Motion' by helping our social service agencies and our own parishes care for families and individuals who struggle in poverty here in Northern California."
The Appeal helps a vibrant network of dedicated Catholic social service agencies - and our own parishes - provide countless good works every day. Every time a child finds safety and hope, a family has a breathrough, a marginalized person rebuilds a life of dignity, a seminarian moves closer to ordination or a student is able to stay in Catholic school, we are thankful for the generosity of Annual Catholic Appeal donors.
The Annual Catholic Appeal begins in February every year and donations are requested from the parishes for this worthy cause. Additionally, 25% of all proceeds collected from our parish are returned to be administered locally within our community to the poor. Donations are accepted throughout the year, please consider supporting this annual ministry to assist the thousands of people who are desperately in need of our support.
