The Parish Pastoral Council functions as an advisory and consultative body to the pastor to determine the spiritual and temporal parish goals and how to attain them.
The responsibility of the council is to aid the pastor in coordinating, encouraging, and promoting the activities of the parish - to serve all members of the parish in the best way possible. The council also has the responsibility of assisting the pastor in developing the most effective means of caring out guidelines and directives given by the Bishop.
Our purpose is to offer counsel and consultation to the pastor on matters of pastoral planning and policy. We commit ourselves to providing the best possible counsel which is the result of prayer reflection, and dialogue, as well as study, research, and consultation with other parishioners. By the fact that we are convoked by the pastor, we will respond to his call and questions and offer the best consultation possible to support him in discerning how God is calling the parish to fulfill its mission.
